This has been a rumor on and off for the last 10 years. It will never happen. I can see multi store managers for some of the lower volume stores that might be close together, but even that is a stretch and in some markets impossible.
I personally think they should offload all health and beauty aid to Ulta as a shop in shop model. CVS keeps all OTC, and they get out of the general merchandise and grocery business. They can even do another shop in shop with babies r us for the baby department. They obviously have no desire to run a front door business but they are locked in from a real estate perspective.
Pic can’t even manage their techs, forget the front employees. Stop spreading fake news.

How many ops hours and rph hours could you get from converting FS manager salary… training that many pics on what they would need to know to manage the FS would be the insane part… unless you could just force them to go to unpaid district meetings… oh wait…
