@ad Sorry I don’t quite agree. Fewer stores mean less support needed. Comp sales may be okay for top 50/150 stores, but overall sales are still declining due to store closures. Because of it, %SG&A (Selling, General, & Admin) to total sales has been increasing.
What time periods are you referencing?
The business has been good. Macy’s even beat plan and showed sales growth in their comp doors. Backstage obliterated their plan and sales in comp doors so their business has been on fire. If they lay people off then honestly the higher ups and Tony don’t know how to manage a business and they can take their “genuine hospitality” and go scratch their as--s with it.
