I thought Jassy wanted to get rid of bureaucracy? Guess not.

Amazon is also going to wipe out individual employees and their teams that don't consistently spend over 4 hours per day in the office (excluding some limited criteria). They're basically using every trick available to dismiss without severance.
Sounds like earth's most toxic employer again!
This is how Amazon loses their best and brightest - over dinosaur age RTO policies that really shouldn't exist. Plus there are the lower comp policies. Of course there are other employers, but what's the point of losing your best employees to average-to-junior hire to fire employees? What if internal DNS goes down again and it take a whole day to bring it back at a cost of $1B plus losing the trust of your best customers? Jassy is just too stubborn to give up.
You have to badge in 5 days/week at least 5 weeks out of prior 8 weeks. On any badged in days you have to badge in at least 4 hours. What a capitalistic waste of talent!
Pre-COVID/Jassy, no one really cared about office attendance. Employees asked their manager if they could work from home and got their wish. And now there's a class action suit for denying reasonable work from home accommodations.
