Thread regarding Ford layoffs

White-collar Slackers, Snowflakes and chronic Whiners currently employed by Ford most likely will be let go during the month of February

Ford Leadership warns The Ford Motor Company is at risk of continued existence and is rapidly moving the Company forward for survival. Leadership announced every Ford employee must report to their assigned office five days a week starting in the second week of January, no acceptations will be approved. Leadership has identified 25,000 Slackers who were recently warned by email that they are at a threat of being issued Performance Improvement Plans during the second week of January. The odds are 9 out of 10 of these 25,000 Slackers will flunk their Performance Improvement Plans or refuse to even accept them and will be summary fired and unemployment benefits will be denied.
The goofing off from home days, while on the Ford clock are officially over.

@cd I second the motion of including the OP in the layoffs for not making sense and a good example of slacking by not proof reading the post (for basic english) before submitting.

@cb, Are you really that clueless? If Ford didn’t have the “people in cubicles” designing the vehicles, troglodytes like you wouldn’t have anything to assemble on the lines.

@ce

Just one. Based on your extensive experience in the field, which boot polish brand is most flavorful?

Employees are shareholders. Shareholders want a good return on their investment. Cutting costs enhances the share price. This is how capitalism works. Any questions ?

@OP

"no acceptations will be approved."

Not sure what an "acceptation" is. Maybe ease off on the abrasive and hostile RTO bootlicking in favor of some basic English literacy?

If you are referring to "exceptions", please wake up and become aware that there are ALWAYS exceptions. Anyone stating otherwise is lying.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

So the OP will be the first to go?

Ford needs people who can actually do hands on work, like assembling vehicles, not people in a cubicle who talk about it.

To OP, are you saying no slackers were at Ford prior to covid and WFH?

How do you explain the clear fall in quality with the Ford vehicles that were developed and launched by the Ford employees in 2018~2020 who were indeed 5 day in office?

Something doesn't add up with your logic.

Ford's going to waste zero time in official house cleaning. It's already began. Mark my words.

The job market out there does not look strong. It won't look good if you are looking for a job soon and have Ford as a recent employer on your resume. You will be labeled as having left Ford knowing you were going to be fired.

They identified themselves? And there is 25,000 of them? Huge cost savings ahead. Especially with the insulation from creating a trail. At least this time we know it's not artificially engineered and full of lies. Nice work!

@a5 explain Remember the past for the harm it caused and the power it entrenched, so it is never used again to crush the people who could have built our future.

There are a lot of abysmal posts here, be nice, be kind, do your job and you will be fine. No layoffs on the horizon according to the town hall...

Relax, Farley said that their would be a net gain in Jobs. Usually when he talks about Jobs, he's referring to UAW as well.

@a2 I say the slackers read up on employment law and visit their contributions accurately as much as possible. Sometimes, it really is them, and not you. Don't let them fool you, think critically about things.

With Ford leadership being treated like tenure, you already know the peter principle comes into play. At that stage in your Fordism career, survival is important so others don't find out. Ford leadership tends to punish people that contribute at an extraordinary level. Sometimes it has nothing to do with you but them being responsible for unethical practices.
