Thread regarding SAP layoffs

OpenAI cofounder - AI agents at least a decade away.

The AI bubble isn't a bubble, it' actually a black hole. All the threats from SAP to our customers about how they wont get access to AI without RISE and Grow, all the consternation and turning customers into enemies, was all for nothing.

"Functional AI agents "will take about a decade," he said"

@fh maybe the uncollected score should go at an all time low. But that also won’t happen because the scores in some locations are forced to be high by mid level managers who threaten their reports.

@aw The supervisory board fully supports what the executive board is doing. Nothing will change. SAP desperately wants to be like US tech companies and follow whatever the US companies do.

@ew I fully agree. It's about money (personal return) and power. They do not care about employees or customers...keep running the unfiltered to give the appearance outside and to new hires that they listen to feedback. Their agenda is only made of fear and autocracy!

People in the executive board are practically Gods with so much power and money. There's nothing employees can do against them. And if they have decided to rule with fear then they will rule with fear. It was never about AI. It was all about power.

Both AI and layoffs are simply ways for massive transfer of wealth from the middle class to the rich.

The executive board will not have to live by the decisions made by them. By the time the bubble bursts, they will have made over a billion in bonuses and already moved on from SAP. And if the bubble bursts while they’re there, they’ll just say oops and focus on layoffs instead.

Nothing will change till the supervisory board steps in and fires some incompetent board members and replaces them with employees that value long term growth more than bonuses.
