just means he/she doesn't get shipped back to where they came from.
A software engineer calls a lateral move from Aetna to CVS "exponential growth." Either he doesn't know what "exponential growth" means (in which case why the he-l is he a software engineer), or he is very very seriously deluded.
It now makes sense why non of the CVS software functions properly.
