You know exactly who I'm talking about: those who never work a minute longer than their official hours, who never work on a weekend, and who never do any overtime. Those who don't care about anything other than getting out as soon as possible. How can a company succeed with such a workforce?

There's a tiny bit of truth in the OP. The Citrix decline started when the default position for open management spots, shifted from promoting within, to outside hiring.
Tom, you should probably stop posting here. Haven't you got better thing to do with your time like send a message to the staff who haven't heard from you in months?
If you have to work a minute longer than your official hours, or work on the weekend, and need to complete task in overtime.
You are the wrong hire. It means you are incapable of completing tasks in a timely manner. It also means managers and executives are incapable time management, prioritization and goal setting.
The technical top performers left the company long ago. Citrix has been in a downward spiral for more than a decade now. It's no wonder the remaining employees don't care anymore, and it's not their fault that they have no option but to wait for their severance.
Some of my team have already shared that they're having difficulty finding new employers to take them. It's tragic and disappointing, but a somewhat predictable outcome given our recent history of failed product launches and all the product end-of-life announcements. It's no secret that we lost our technology edge in the market.
It's those current employees who proudly say they're staying just for the paycheck. Agreed, Citrix is known for having a long history of institutionalized mediocrity. That's their legacy. That's their reputation.
And now, CSG has apparently inherited that apathy, based upon many of the comments here by current employees who couldn't care less while they wait to be terminated.
BS.
Citrix hired some middle mgmt from 2010 onwards. Chancers with very little technical acumen, some of them with no experience in managing people nor experience in corporate environments. They had the gift of the gab combined with a total lack of basic decency. THOSE where the employees who little by little, day by day, undermined the company.
Note to the OP: there is no such company as Citrix.
You think employees' performance depends on whether they work overtime and weekends? Talk about out of touch. Who are you, Bill Lumbergh the movie Office Space?
Or... Citrix software is obsolete and no longer needed?
Yeah, it's the EMPLOYEES' fault. LOL.
