Have you heard anything about potential Amgen layoffs? Any chatter, news or rumors?

@a8e Is this because they are moving these jobs to the Amgen Genomics Hub in Hyderabad? They still seem to be hiring in the precision medicine space (within and outside the US).
They have laid off a large amount of entire pharmaceutical engineering teams, including the managers. They haven’t announced internally when the layoffs will be over either.
They just laid off a good chunk of people from both the engineering development side as well as the clinical side. I believe there are more layoffs scheduled as well.

@5g7 are there more coming? I know there were a lot today. Still trying to figure out if I will be impacted but time will tell
All groups and departments on the clinical side will be affected.

@OP yes layoffs in 2026 are impending. Closer to year end once a massive project reaches internal go live, no public announcements. Amgen laying off thousands but not required to provide WARN notice because of notice given months ahead
