Thread regarding Ford layoffs

New subscription offering!

Several factors have led to an add on to the Ford Secure subscription service!

Since the YTD take rate at $7.99/month to have a Ford employee call police when your vehicle is stolen has been zero, the intelligent minds behind that service will add on having a Ford employee, for another $7.99 per month, will call a tow truck to get your vehicle to a service location for any warranty breakdown or recall.

This new subscription will sell like hot vehicles!

Well, the General Manager of this money losing operation is proud to be driving around in an F-150 Lightning, proving their dedication and continuing contribution to Ford’s financial losses.

@sz do they use money that accumulates from cheating off the defenseless people they exploit to fund these “high growth” opportunities? Or does that money go into good will for common photo ops that drown real crimes committed by people in this company

A recent quote from Farley on company direction did not mention subscriptions at all:

“This is a customer-driven shift to create a stronger, more resilient and more profitable Ford,” CEO Jim Farley said on Dec. 15. “The operating reality has changed, and we are redeploying capital into higher-return growth opportunities: Ford Pro, our market-leading trucks and vans, hybrids and highmargin opportunities like our new battery energy storage business.”

“All these fly-by-night people who switched up on me were never really my TRUE friends.” ~Drake

During an interview with Apple Music, Drake revealed that he’s absolutely proud of his life and the character judgment he’s developed throughout all the years he’s spent on Earth.

He seemingly referred to Kendrick Lamar whom he once had a near friendly collaborative relationship and UMG, whom he looked up to, as fly-by-nights who were never to be trusted.

“I’m not naive. I’m not out here just being like, ‘We’re all one, we are…’ It’s not a buddy-buddy thing. This is w*r, you know? Just like anything else—just like sports, if you’re in accounting.

There are traditions. We’re playing for keeps. It’s not a joke thing to me. I mean, I’ve seen people I would never expect—people I’ve had the utmost respect for—do foul sh***. If they had their way, I would be on the street corner with my family and all these guys in this room, never to be heard from again.”

@b8 For another $8.99/month subscription fee, the Ford employee will go to your police station and file the report.

Go ahead and keep rotting the software stack by putting in useless code. Not only that written by outsourced help that paid for thier degree from a degree mill while you told the person with 10 years in to take a hike.

Imbeciles....

@gx I would argue that storage batteries will buy an equal number of subscriptions as people who buy Ford vehicles.

Soon enough it will be known that shady practices when it comes to subscriptions is lowering morale nation wide through constant hoops to simply cancel or dispute a charge that comes from a “free trial” or subscription. When that happens, Ford’s plans for subscriptions will
Be deeply affected since the strategy is hoping “customers” either forget, don’t notice, or are exhausted trying to cooperate and seek reason amicably with Ford

We won’t be selling any subscription services to batteries produced for energy storage:

“Ford Motor Co. cut back its electric vehicle plans last week in a major announcement, but it simultaneously placed a big bet on a new business line: producing batteries for energy storage.”

Doubling down on not being a successful vehicle manufacturer.

You are wrong if you think subscription and software-based services will not be a significant revenue generator for Ford in the near future (even currently). The products that will contain the next generation of customer want subscriptions aren't even available to the public at this time. But when the Ford Model e world debut happens, you will see the interest. Our competitors will be left in crisis having to develop what we will already have to our customer's delight. I don't understand why so many here are impatient and do not believe in the Plan.

No subscriptions. Not ever.

You want me to consider it at all? Make the vehicle cheap, and sell the unnecessary features through subscriptions.

I actually read that many police departments ask that you come to station, file a report and contact your insurance company. So this subscription is a waste of money.

Why would anyone steal a Ford vehicle when there's better choices.

I won’t believe Ford has any customers paying for subscriptions until Subscriptions is a line item on the monthly Sales Report. They would be bragging about the revenue numbers, if they were there.
