Thread regarding Conduent layoffs

big layoff today 12.15.2022

heard the news today that several of the most tenured operations and IT staff in my division were let go. maybe b/c they were making the most money. but if you asked me who you should never let go - it would have been these people. they all had 15-30 years of service and knew legacy applications and operations. not sure what this company values any more!

I was one of the people laid off. Do you know if more than 50 people were laid off?

I worked for a company of 700 that laid off all computer/ IT/Help desk except for 1 guy.
Some people sat around all day after that when their PC had problems. Management can make some really stupid mistakes when thinking that they're saving money.
