Thread regarding Amazon.com layoffs

Can we PIP Andy already?

Pivot assignment: make Amazon stock price reach $350/share in the middle of 2026 without doing further layoffs (forced or RTO/silent).

Yeah, if it takes a full day to restore DNS in IAD, then Matt Garman should be PIP'd too. $12B avoidable loss. And loss of earned trust.

Andy should absolutely be put on a PIP. The company has fumbled on numerous occasions since he took charge, the mistakes are on him as a leader and he should own them.

Jeff gave Andy the big shoes. He starts by hiring too many employees, then lays off 27000. His RTO layoffs then fail (smartest employees leave, rest hang on), lays off another 14000 and does mass PIP's at the same time on random high-performing employees to hide what would be more even layoffs! Then plans more layoffs in January. Then goes multi-cloud (AWS Interconnect) with GCP knowing that AWS can't be reliable anymore - takes almost a FULL DAY to restore DNS in IAD. Nice culture!
