@j4 the only ride that is over is P+’s, namely getting us to work more than 8 hours by being so inflexible and requiring everyone to work from office 5 days a week. Site is down? Too bad, I already put in my 8 hours, I can take a look next day at 9am. Tough luck, deal with it. The biggest losers with these RTO mandates are the employers and the employers only. They can’t fire me if I’m working 40 hours weekly. Want me to work above that? Sure, but you better pay me overtime - more costly for P+ than WFH hybrid approach.

@te yep. In the 90’s sometimes I’d stay in office until midnight and even past if there was something pressing. With the advent of WFH I do the same and even stay working later than that.
@sy Spoken like a true old school 9-5er. I am going to blow your mind here… sometimes, I leave my home office and go for a walk in the middle of the day. I have my phone, and I stay in constant contact with anyone who would need me over slack, and if I need to get work done “after hours” then I do that. Sometimes I even answer emails while sitting on my couch watching TV at 10 PM!
@j5 you said, posting on this site during work hours. your unproductive a-s is getting fired next year, buddy.
@jk And dont forget those that chose to work here (and may have turned down better offers from full time in office positions) specifically because of hybrid status just a few short months ago, only to get rug pulled.
@jm Dont pay attention to the s- posters who are just trying to trigger people. You make an absolutely great point that the company is running fine, P+ works great, football still shows up on my screen every Sunday, and all this while most people rarely come to the office. So yeah, were all stealing money by slacking off at home. lol.
@j4 Correction, everyone is going back to an office. Everyone who has been WFH has been performing their job duties (a.k.a. “working) this entire time. And for the small portion of people who may have been slacking? Newsflash, being in an office won’t change that. It’s clear you are bitter because you didn’t have the luxury of WFH.
@j5 You do realize that there were people hired as fully remote during the pandemic with zero expectation to ever be in an office. Please elaborate on their fraudulent activity. Being in an office doesn’t guarantee productivity.
@dh assistance for what?? The free ride you’ve been on. You owe the company back pay for the fraud you’ve been committing.
The free ride is over. Everyone is going back to work.
You know morale is very low because they also sent out the end of year review emails and they decided to not do the company wide ranking survey. Shocking! They would get crushed. There really hasn’t been much to be excited for with the new ownership. Myself and others are really curious how they handle the PTO policy. Just cashing a paycheck at this point.
there’s not even enough room for fully staffed departments at 1515 ….
I don’t have insider insight but my hunch is that all it is/was is a power move to get people to self-elect to leave.
I think by fall 2026, things will become … lax. Maybe even a reverse course (best case scenario). It will have to be, particularly if PTO changes, there are still no raises, no opportunities for advancement.
It has been entirely problematic for companies to successfully mandate a return to a full 5 day RTO, with the exception of like JP Morgan Chase.
Unhappy employees = low morale
Continued low morale = it’ll show and shareholders won’t be happy
@da It’s not a matter of acceptance, there are also logistical concerns involved since the company is not disclosing any information to help people understand whether they will be required to relocate and if so whether any assistance will be provided.
Just accept the inevitable and move on.
