Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

More layoffs coming in 2026

The 13k that were laid off is just the beginning. There will be more layoffs coming in 2026 which will include a lot of bottom line employees. This is why it is important for front line reps to unionized. Don’t let HR and higher management try buying your silence with free lunch and scare you with them constantly showing up to your store. The company is also going to be very strict when it comes to reps, managers and higher leadership selling with integrity. The company is focusing on customer satisfaction which means they will start firing people if they conduct themselves in gray area practices.

🩸 blood bath started:
T-Mobile Debuts a New Switching App Targeting Rival Carriers

T-Mobile unveiled its “Easy Switch” AI tool during a splashy media event at the Formula 1 Heineken Las Vegas Grand Prix on November 20. The tool allows AT&T and Verizon customers to compare their wireless plans against competing T-Mobile plans via their mobile phones and promises that a customer can switch an account over to T-Mobile within 15 minutes.

AT&T called the whole thing a “deceitful intrusion” on its computer systems and filed suit, seeking a temporary restraining order. AT&T said it took steps to detect and block T-Mobile’s scraping tools from accessing its systems but that T-Mobile repeatedly hacked around those technical roadblocks.

What happened next? Find out by reading the latest from Fierce Network’s Monica Alleven, who’s been tracking the drama.

Don’t be ignorant. A union is not going to prevent VZ from selling off the stores to an agent. It will be “business need”. And the agents are not going to put up with that union nonsense because quite simply put it, they don’t have VZ pockets. VZ sold off two whole states worth of business that took VZ a decade and multimillions to build. You think they care about your little “union” .

Unions will not prevent anything..nopoe they wont but they will help level the playing field and provide a little more job protection. Layoffs could be by seniority and not by who you know.

They need to get rid of more overpriced dead weight above. How many VP’s does Verizon need? How many times do you need to be reminded that it’s falling leaves month or push to sell awards by someone paid half a million plus?

Unions will not prevent anything. What is going to happen is going to happen, whether unions are in the mix or not. So stop spreading false hope to justify your own poor decisions!
