What's the hold up? I hear Managers have been asked to wait until January to have performance discussions.

Which board? Is it not the MD/D of the team decides and then the SVP/VP for their respective teams?
Comps can't be communicated until the board approves. Usually second week in Jan.
Comps decided already by Dec 2nd week. Communication in Jan.
Had my performance evaluation today. Got a 2/2, so hopefully that means a big fat bonus (NOT HAPPENING)!!
They think that by delaying the discussions, they are addressing a VoE concern. No, I'm serious.
Manager toolkit/dates published by HR have year end conversations beginning on Dec. 8. Most wont hear about comp until Jan. After the quarter is closed.

YE Conversation period is Dec 3 to Jan 9.
Comp conversations are late January so impossible to do YE with Comp unless your Manager is ok with you seeing your evaluation ahead of the conversation. Personally, I prefer to go through it with my team live, then send it to them after our chat.
AS long as I am not a 4 I couldn't care less about YE. Just tell me my comps.
@OP - January is for Comp, YE reviews are happening now.
My boss just scheduled mine for next Thursday.

Always had mine in Jan. Every manager I've had at citi - and I have had a lot, tries to tie YE with comp which comes out in Jan. Sure you can get it now, but managers can wait and it makes sense that they do.

Due date for conversations and acknowledgement in Workday is the 9th January. Convos can start now.
Isn't that standard? Citi/JP/MS - all major is banks communicate performance and bonus around the third week of Jan, when EoY earnings are announced. Why do get this question every single year haha
