Thread regarding Uniti layoffs

So, what exactly is the plan?

Is the plan that there’s still no plan?

It feels like a step backward to add more friend of a friend C-suite serial consulters instead of trying to invest in reversing the trend of accelerating employee burnout and churn. It’s starting to spread to CS/net technicians who are usually somewhat isolated from the corporate tumult.

Are they just trying to get some more pals paid before the next buyout comes?

About time techs work instead of no show a customer or “reschedule” for no reason. Or make up a reason to cancel an order while the customer is calling in asking where their service is at.

The real plan for each unit will most likely not be clear to us minions until all the new leaders are all in place and have dug into their units. February was the date stated publicly when merger related leader changes would be completed. These things usually happen in layers in past mergers. January and February might get interesting. With new top brass, the accurate leaks will most likely reduce until they actually occur. Which I am sure is ki-ling the people that used to leak it on this site in the ‘stream days before they actually happened, all just to stir drama and make themselves feel important.

You’d think these people would learn, and maybe these new top brass leaders have learned since they are all “experienced experts” in their roles and not hired for other political reasons that making those so called “close friends” at work is not everything. There should always be some level of separation. Putting so called “friends” in key roles at work is only good if they are not drama and you can trust them with confidential business information. The reset button has been pushed, the reset is just not completely done yet.

Sure is what it seems like. Just trying to push the numbers up so they can get their bonus for the year. Techs on mandatory Saturday's for all of December. Sending techs out of state for 10 days straight. Sending techs all over just to push installs while trouble tickets just keep building up. But as long as we install new fiber & the upper brass get their bonuses, who cares if the techs have families.
