Intel use “I am the only US semi” excuses to politically hammer/block other companies. It is politics and unfair competition.

That means American are su-k at engineering now
Intel has no loyalty to the US, just to their large institutional investors and bonuses of ELT. While I support having cutting edge node fab in US, Intel is a dead man walking at this point and any taxpayer money spent on it is a waste now.
@a2
Not entirely true. There is packaging and assy in Chandler.
Different part of the world, different way of exploiting workers. Management knows the right tools to use.
The vast majority of test and packaging for all semi companies is outside. Micron in Boise? Microchip in Chandler? TI in Tx, UT and others? Nope...engineering maybe, some wafers but all the final stuff is elsewhere.
You mad bro?
Intel Assembly and Packaging are all outside US.
The claim of “Only US company …” is a political trick to block AMD and other competitors.
Intel is the best political company, and its managers treat cheating as marketing.
90% of Intel manufacturing facilities are outside US. It is not US manufacturing at all.
It cheats the US government for tax payer’s money.
