Excited to have our executives visit locally and get us kicked off for an awesome 2026. I plan on wearing two foam fingers and shaking the noise makers they provide to show my enthusiasm. Will the theme this year be football related where we get to hear our executives talk about their favorite team, or will we kick things off with trivia questions and t-shirt give aways? I hope they bring more than one special red chair for us to use for pictures as the line will be very long and I want to get back to delighting our customers. It would also be great if they brought interns back to speak to us about the awesome culture they are experiencing. Their 4 months of insights were so helpful and encouraging. Let's go V Teamers!

Don't forget to listen to Sampath when he saids "be kind to each other". Kindness does not come in the form of laying off thousands of people right before the holidays. Also, remember last year when he said "Im bullish about retail". that translates to "I am bullish about retail because we can pawn off our overhead to an outsourcer and reduce OPEX". Don't believe the BS.
A layoff of 13k and this is the post? I’m so glad I left Verizon on my own terms last year after 23 years. Knowing people like this are some of the ones I used to work with over there being this out of touch is so reassuring to me I made the right choice to accept my severance. You know you are more likely than not (and I don’t wish it on you) going to see a lot more RIFs coming and it could be you next time. My advice is don’t be so self absorbed with yourself you survived and waiving P-m poms for a company that gives zero sh.. about you. The future is not really bright for Verizon at all. The proof is everywhere. But forget all that glad I don’t work with id--ts like this anymore but you do you boo.
So many lazy deadbeats survived that live for this garbage. They do the bare minimum and then show up for the cheerleading sessions and in pictures on LinkedIn as an example of vteam culture. The leadership is too stupid and oblivious to realize the grift right in their faces.

Who was around when we used to waste a bunch of money for kickoffs? My first year they rented a the theater in Hollywood and some smuck executive on video showed off his Ducati riding across LA. Heard they used to close stores early or start late and have people come in for this. Then the following year they had it at the 49er stadium and people flew in for a few hrs. Of course they over corrected since then and just started firing people and closing offices at a frenetic pace.
I hope the 5G Koolaid man is there!
