The worry is justified. It's mid 2024 and that's exactly what's going down.
You should be worried! People who work at the stores will be fine except for a few managers that will be replaced. It's EVERYONE at CORPORATE and every single subsidiary that Albertson's AND Kroger owns that will be consolidated and at least 1/2 or More of those workers will be fired.
Why would any company two of every team member? They don't need it and they will fire you immediately. Well, hey now, we're talking about Kroger, they won't fire you immediately, it will be a few months (maybe) to see who works harder for less money - THOSE will be the workers who will stay.
Do you seriously think that either of these companies really care? I worked at corporate for a long time - after years of se-ual harassment, two-faced managers and directors, worst pay EVER with continuous promises of more $$ - NEVER GONNA HAPPEN. S after years of cliques and snide remarks, I finally quit.
Rodney is the world's biggest liar - as are all the Kroger executives who work at corporate. I feel bad for all of you because if you thought your job sucked before -- HA HA HA you lose! It's gonna suck, much, much more soon!

NEVER trust Kroger - NEVER!!!!!! Or any of Albertson's executives. They are getting ready to F*CK over a LOT of employees, glad I left!
Albertsons must be desperate to merge with kroger.
Public's told kroger "why would we merge with you. You are a poof operator. "
Costco owner told kroger. "Why would i let you f@#k up my company. Get out!"
We should all be worried. Not just about layoffs and store closings, should this merger be approved, but also about the supply chain and pricing monopoly this will create. If you think prices on groceries are high now, like I do, then prepare for the worst.
