These mass layoffs aren't even a blip on the radar for media. They barely covers them, and when they do it's a minor page 3 story.
Years ago you used to see big headlines about 13K people being laid off. Today, it doesn't even appear on the front page of major news sources. Go look, it's not on NYT front page, WAPost, LATimes, or Fox News. They're all covering the almost-certainly-a-nothing-burger Epstein files stuff.
Last month there were more layoffs in the month of October than there have been in the past 20 years. It barely reached anyone.
yeah, nvidia made like a trillion dollars in q3 and we are the biggest business news of the day. nobody cares. except us. we are not relevant in 2025 economy. we can bk or fold tomorrow and the planet will keep spinning.
yet, this is our world, and we are impacted immensely. nothing is more important to me than this news today.
