NY v NJ WARN Act — 30 day v 90 days until last day on payroll

Both NY and NJ have 90 requirements for WARN notices. How is Verizon justifying some NYers staying on until 12/19 while NJers stay on until 2/19?

There were a ton of people let go in Basking Ridge, NJ and triggered the WAR ACT which is 90 days for NJ.

VA is supposed to have 60, but myself as well as others are on payroll until December.

Because of severance. That's why the minimum is 60 days.

Yes, Verizon spread the RIF across as many locations as possible to dodge WARN, which is likely why the rumored 15–20k number wasn’t hit.
That just means more waves are coming.
My team lost over 20%, including me, they made sure at least one person was cut from every site, no matter the circumstances

@OP NY is based on individual location not statewide total. May not have met the minimum headcount at all or any NY sites.
