Thread regarding Omnissa layoffs

Wondering about calendar post gone

Last night I saw a new post about calendars. Today it is gone. What causes some posts to be removed? Is it from people asking the site owner to take them down?

@vk "We cant even keep our own internal tools working or support our own internal users with their tools"

Been having issues with my laptop for months, and our support team has been passing me from one person to another... cant even do my job with the tools given.

@mt "Long overdue. Should have happened 12 months ago when previous cro was let go."

Yes... and indeed it should have been done long before but instead we kept the sales reps who did nothing to develop business and hired sales managers who acted tough and did nothing to address the downward spiral.

Lets face it, it is very evident that the plan this entire time has been to offload Omnissa to another buyer. I bet we are going to start hearing rumors about that in the near future. The goal in the meantime is to inflate our numbers and make Omnissa as attractive as possible to the potential buyers. The typical pump and dump scenario...

Customers don't want our legacy products, specially when they get the exact the same thing for next to free or as part of another package. The ship has sailed and we are bragging to each other about how awesome we look while we wait at the dock.

The team morale is terrible, not a single person in my team has any confident left in this company or its management. The customers have left or are leaving. The products keep getting worse and outdated. We cant even keep our own internal tools working or support our own internal users with their tools. The only reason people are sticking around is because the job market is terrible right now.

@OP
The topic is basically a lack of accountability in sales. Missed targets several quarters in a row, and sales leadership is finally and slowly waking up to the reality that (a) too many reps are still taking calls instead of developing their accounts (b) don't put stuff into salesforce.com and make up their own (inflated) forecasts and (c) don't spend enough time seeing or interacting with customers.
With all that, the head of sales is scheduling meetings with each rep and their directors to inspect pipeline and forecast (using only sales force data) and looking at calendars to ensure enough meetings with customers are happening.

Long overdue. Should have happened 12 months ago when previous cro was let go.
