If you are fairly young and get let go, do not burn the bridge because Verizon does rehire in the future, in this job market, it is all about who you know most times.

I got laid off by company xyz back in March 2024 after 13 tears of service.
I ended up getting an offer from them in April 2025, so I’m a big believer in leaving on good terms.
OP is truth, take this to heart, don’t let anger today hurt you tomorrow. Whether your future is with Verizon or not, the world is smaller than it seems
As someone older who has been around the block a few times, I agree with this. And it’s not just about coming back to VZ. You’d be surprised who you run into years later at other companies. So don’t burn any bridges.
@a6 you spend too much time on this site, the average consumer doesn’t care about the degraded network or infighting they are just going to keep paying the cell phone bill they’ve had for 20 years. If we lose more subscribers they will lower prices and customers will come back, we are a utility at this point.
There will be no Verizon to come back to in a few years; mark my words.
@a2 there's always a loophole. If they want you, they'll find a way.
@a2 it's not just about directly at VZ. You never know. You end up seeing the same faces in different places throughout your career. Your boss could be working for you or vice versa. You never know. If they deserve it, give em he-l. But know that you might regret it one day.
@a2 VSP cannot come back but lays off I think you are still able to in the future
I thought those who were laid off or took vsp could NOT come back to VZ
OP here... Another reason is some people who do not get let go are still trying to leave so they do not have to deal with this stress again. Which can leave some new openings. Good luck.
