TY&e is already laying off every location in southwest division has people on forced off i reduction boards, or ready to work boards, based on searching the only location that hasn’t activated its ready to work board is temple, texas, and any employee hired after September 1st is on the chopping block for Christmas
@te I hope you transportation guy really fight for you new contract. Your union needs to put some garentees on your jobs.
Fun fact - the union is just there to give employees the illusion that someone is looking out for their best interests, much like HR. In actuality there is a pay structure in place where portions of the union dues get passed on up the proverbial food chain. In essence, the people you think are PROTECTING you from upper management are really just profit-sharing the dues with said management while doing precisely nothing but what their "handlers" instruct them to do.
@f4 for sure. I was a manager on the railroad in Nebraska. Union rep came in for an investigation for an employee, I said “how was your weekend”? He said “well the wife and I just got back from
Florida, we had crab legs, prime rib etc every night, we were there to discuss our next contract for the railroad”. Union paid for all that.
Then I sat “yeah, that’s nice, Florida must be right between fort with and Nebraska” glad our union dues go to feeding your phat as.
That's funny. Yeah, I sure as he-l don't count on the union to do anything for me, except take my money every month and lie to me. They're just a mouthpiece for the company. Broken system, and we're forced to play the game. I know who holds all the cards
