Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

If you really can't wait to find out

Go to your directory find your SD go to each AD that reports to them copy them all onto a spreadsheet including the managers since their on the chopping block too. Riff at least 20% from that list after rack and stack everyone if you fall into the bottom 20% then you know the answer.

I did that last Friday and I'm good too go for now.

My 20% was about 16 people across 5-6 managers

Do with that what you will

Has nothing to do with individual performance, if a store is slow or slower than past years, your probably on chopping block, those who been around for a long time, a and b level stores should be good, its the c level stores that may close or transition to indirect

How do you stack people? I can tell you having lived through at least 4 of these.. you have no idea how they're rating people unless you're in sales and you can actually track your performance with metrics. If you're anyone else.. you're just guessing what the "rating" of people is. Also, you're assuming 15-20% across the board which may or may not be true. Some groups might get wiped out and some groups might not get touched. Honestly, I appreciate the effort to find a way to figure this out. We're all looking for clues.. but when it comes to layoffs at VZ.. you might as well just check your horoscope and assume that all the Libras are safe. Cause in the end.. it will make just as much sense.

You're assuming performance is the only factor. Stores may have a lease up or corporate verizon could pull out of a smaller market entirely. Etc.
