@OP Nothing wrong with any of the theater. This is status quo in Corporate America. What else do you want people to do? Mope and sulk all day and be a debbie downer? The problem is that all this replaced performance, instead of being additive.
he-l yes! That's how the culture has been for last 10-15 years. Delivery is secondary but you must be able to perform 'song and dance' ... that is the only criterion for promos.
Very true. The laziest deadbeats knew it was near impossible to be fired for performance. They played the game and suddenly showed up when it was picture time for volunteering. The clueless execs smiled along and didn’t know or care about the waste, fraud and abuse by many employees.
