I'm a Senior Director, and I just got the word that I was being RIF'ed today, so draw your own conclusions.

If you eat tunafish at your desk in the office every day, you're on the list

@a1 this post is actually useful for me as this is the topic i care about the most

@a5 what group. I can understand if entire groups are being cut but if there is just a certain percentage of people they want to reduce in any given team why would they not want feedback from direct managers? That makes no sense

@OP this time around its different,even directors dont know who stays or goes

I'm a director and can say I was in no way consulted on my team during the layoff.
