Bayer Layoffs Continued in Q3 but CEO Says Cuts Should Be ‘Incremental’ Moving Forward

Bayer has let go of about 13,500 employees, including around 5,000 managers, since implementing a new operating model in early 2024. CEO Bill Anderson said in a recent earnings call that he expects a slower rate of headcount reduction moving forward.

Correction - Bayer will now exclusively employ loan officers to apply for multi-billion euro loans solely to give the money away. No word on whether anyone at the company will be compensated for their time.

Rumors are circulating that Bill Anderson plans to cut Bayer's entire workforce except for the team that writes reports about sustainability commitments. Bayer will be a pure play UN SDG reporting operation. No products but greatly reduced GHG emissions. Bold.
