I know many are panicking right now and trying to figure out ways to leave before the proverbial sh-t hits the fan, but I wouldn't do that if I were you. Don't leave severance behind if the chances are high you'll get one. A lot of people will be affected. Every person that leaves on his or her own is leaving money in the pockets of our new overlords. I plan to leave with severance. If they want me out, they can pay me to leave. I'm okay with that.

(Posted this on a different thread) Thoughts on potential coupa layoffs after TB takeover? How long after takeover do layoffs generally happen? Worth sticking around for potential redundancy, <3 years service
Go find another position before you're fighting with your co-workers for open positions
No COBRA assistance? That's enough to ruin a person after getting screwed with stocks
Start looking for a job if you have not done so already!!! if somebody offers you a job, LEAVE!!! unless you can afford it, then stay. if not, LEAVE!!! but only leave when you have the job already.... Coupa and TB and any other company are all the same. there is no loyalty so why be loyal to them.
I worked for a company acquired by Thoma Bravo. There were layoffs across many teams although corporate positions were especially impacted. The severance offered was not generous, one week for every year of service with a maximum of three months. No help with COBRA and other benefits. Only help offered was “outplacement” assistance with an internal recruiter. Reviewing resume and Linked In profile no help at all. Also, anyone receiving severance has to sign a non disclosure agreement which includes not disparaging the company. Severance not worth much so keep this in mind.
