Thread regarding Broadcom Corp. layoffs

Whatg is going on with these lawsuits?

It appears many people are calling attention to Broadcom’s history and its catastrophic business model, which they say relies on monopolistic tactics and has led to multiple lawsuits. Critics also highlight the destruction of American job. Thousands lost in less than five years.

I do not know about any lawsuit but I'd be happy to have our company join. Broadcom's practices are notorious and the word, "off-putting" is an understatement to how many customers feel about some your company's practices.

We are moving away from product marketed/licensed from Broadcom and I do not foresee a change to that given how your company essentially told our CIO to go [you-know-what] during our last renewal.

Bye-bye Broadcom.

Symantec Enterprise Security (Acquired 2019 — $10.7bn)
Symantec’s enterprise division added endpoint security, DLP, and cloud protection tools to Broadcom’s growing software portfolio.
Key actions post-acquisition:
Restructured as a dedicated business unit
Consolidated under Broadcom’s cloud delivery model
Licensing realigned with an emphasis on large-enterprise relationships
Significant workforce reductions: Multiple rounds of layoffs affected engineering, sales, and support teams. The reorganization led to high-profile departures, creating gaps in institutional knowledge and triggering further talent migration
