@a6 nah, that's poor leadership. We just normalize it because some former CEO wrote it in a book somewhere. It's pi-s-poor leadership. If you really are a charismatic, intelligent and balanced CEO, you don't need to "stack the c-suite", you work with what you have. THAT'S leadership.
I hope Sam has her post it notes of accomplishments ready to save her job.

Twitter...He fired 70% of the staff, refused to pay severance and the company consistently marked down by lenders until acquired...by his other private company.
This is what happens when you get a new CEO - they bring in people they trust, people they align with philosophically. It's why you hire an outsider CEO.
