Thread regarding FedEx Corp. layoffs

I have no issues with this

Is anybody here really going to lose any sleep over officers and directors who barely do anything and are paid significantly more than any of us who do all the heavy lifting (figuratively and literally)? I'm certainly not. This is the kind of layoff that can achieve something without losing any productivity. It should happen more often.

What will happen in march/may?
Does it only apply to the USA or fedex worldwide?

They wiped out MOST of Same Day City which included a lot people with decades of tenure working for FedEx. Many of these people had transferred to the Same Day City division from the FedEx Office division, these are ambitious people who were looking for progression and growth opportunities within FedEx.

They received a short phone call from HR to let them know that they would be laid off in March.

But hey, great for the stock holders huh?

It's not just upper management.... A lot of the Same Day City drivers were let go in that large sweep of layoffs.... Heard it from the drivers themselves.
