Thread regarding Optum layoffs

Waiting for severance is not worth it

I was also one of those waiting for the package, however, this place became really unbearable and in the end I realized that the severance pay was not worth risking my health.
It is easier to find a new, decent job than to continue to suffer here. Just saying.

Feels like our dept will be impacted this month, lots of talk of consolidating teams and so many project plans. Boss says we’re ok, I see the writing in the wall. Anyone willing to share what the severance was? Is it still 2 weeks for every year?

I do not understand all this talk of suffering. It is just a job. Do it and be done with it. If it isn't working for you, apply somewhere else until you find another job. There is a whole world of possibilities out there, you just have to actually look. Severance is not guaranteed.

You have to play the game... give the bare minimum, do NOT solution for any mistakes and wait your turn to be laid off. Definitely worth it!

If your health is impacted, then why stay? Go find a job with Cigna.
