Thread regarding Salesforce.com Inc. layoffs

Ohana Fraud

Leadership still trying to spin the message. How they handled these layoffs is embarrassing.

Just got the email today .. Im 128% to quota this year, 176% last year, never missed the mark. . 5 years with the company. Yet Marc and his sponge bob crew still talking about performance?

Stop lying to everyone, you have no idea what you're doing above. I bet more than half of you can't even create a quote.

What a joke. Ohand is a FRAUD

ohana was probably a thing when money was cheap, stock was seemingly invincible, and distractions away from any sensible form of proper business health and metrics. They bought a 75 acre RANCH in Redwoods CA in spring 2022 are you kidding me? On top of the other real estate investments and spending 50+ billion on technology that was put on a shelf and largely not integrated? breach of fiduciary duty! These "nothing matters we are gods" type of decisions are facing a reality check, unfortunately. It was bound to happen, it just took a socioeconomic mis-step to bring it to light sooner rather than later. I'd wager that without all the buildings, ranch, and smarter (or more fruitful) acquisition strategy would have easily covered costs to prevent such layoffs... but hey that premo property is quality asset on the books, terminating an employee via a button in your HR system is more strategically more beneficial... i suppose....

It appears they targeted people who made a lot of money. This would suggest that they think they can be replaced by anyone at a much lower salary. Expect higher quotas and more accounts. So much for work life balance.

Sorry also to hear how you were treated. This feels like oracle 2.0, when I worked at oracle each year around this time to April we would sit and wait for the meeting request to be sacked. I “interviewed” for my job about 5 times in the space of a few years with new managers coming on board, it was just an awful toxic environment to be in. You either play the game, or you are out the door. The only difference we didn’t have this Ohana bullsh*t, we just had nothing, no culture, no team comradeship or any values, we were all just ICs that were floating around surviving each quarter and being used by everyone.

Complete BS. My team finished 115% of quota on the year, with some AE’s finishing at 160% and 180% of number. We all got the email this morning as well

Sorry to hear that. Makes no sense that they layoff high performing staff when they complain about productivity.

Ohana and the "core values" are definitely BS at SF.
