Thread regarding NetApp layoffs

The layoffs in previous quarters were quiet. This is the loudest one.

This is not NetApp’s only recent round of layoffs. The company in the first six months of fiscal 2022 laid off about 1 percent of its global workforce as it restructured to reduce its office space due to the large number of employees working remotely, and another 1 percent were laid off in early fiscal 2023 as NetApp restructured to redirect resources to highest return activities.

They wanted to juice the stock price. Layoffs always excite wall street.

Yeah. Netapp is good at quiet firing. Most companies don't want to alarm employees, investors, or potential hires that something isn't working out. That's why this site is here.

Where have you been? Netapp's been doing layoffs bi-annually. Only those that exceed legal thresholds (5%?) are noisy. The last big one was in 2016 as I recall.
