Heard a rumor in some stores, MBA & OOM have their job adjusted. Anyone knows the details?
Is it a combined job now?

I don't think so. AYS and Receiving already have captains. An untethered captain isn't part of a department by definition. The other guys post seems more plausible. Combining the two would be too much.
MBA AND OOM will combine. An untethered captain will be added to both receiving and AYS that will not be on the schedule as coverage, but to supervise.
Update?
Any update??
Ast is fine. Most stores are adding a PT AST. Question is why and what is going on with MBA position.
We've been told about changes of CXMs. Not everything I'm sure. What else is there?
Cascade what exactly?? What happens to AST associate
Store managers are talking to their DVPs and HRBP to discuss how to cascade this down to store leadership.
If only the store manager knows, when will the rest of us know? More layoffs?
Only the Store Manager knows. The layoff plan and staffing changes were cascaded yesterday from the DVPs on the call.
So now true...lol. where do you people come up with such things to cause panic.
If AYS goes to OOM, MBA will have to be hourly. The law states administrative work must be hourly and that was why they added AYS to hourly AST supervisor and changed to Salary MBA.
I hope AYS goes to OOM. I'm an AST and I'm sick of them thinking I have anything to do with curbside pickups when I've got five phone hires who showed up unscheduled and the vault is short because I was off the day before and someone else went in there and the phone is ringing off the hook and eight associates want sick time that I've been telling them since April they used up.
Responsibility of AYS goes from MBA to the OOM.
I doubt they will eliminate OOM or MBA. If anything, they just will turn up the heat when it comes to expenses. Absolutely NO tolerance for going over budget. I do think the CXM and SMM roles will merge soon. Not this year because the CXMs in this company are definitely not capable of running recovery/fitting room, let alone managing pricing, merchandising Execution or understanding the basics of floor planning. This year they’ll invest more in training them (who will train them? The already overworked SMM) and then eventually we’ll all become Sales Managers again! Global mindset BS.
What is it now? Add more floor tile to MBA? I barely have enough time spending in my office for
Scheduling
Hiring
Safety
Documents processing and retention
Questions about paychecks, vacations, callouts, time off, holiday pay, LOA because AskHR never ever tell colleagues to go ask their people leaders and their people leaders tell them to go ask AST/MBA
What about all the damn visits that MBA need to prepare PowerPoint, presentation, piling number etc.
Oh and what about the facilities come to MBA for all. The work order questions, open door for vendors to electronic room, riser room, alarm system, etc
all day long I stuck at AYS , or cover break and lunch, or go from colleague to colleague because customers want to return a 2 years old pants or found them while cleaning up the closet after a family member passed away.
What else can we do for the all mighty red star
Details? OOM here.
I hope more gets added to OOM. I feel like there is a huge disparity in the workload and expectations. Omni and Logistics get the most hours and are the least productive in most cases.
Not combining, adding more responsibilities to each role.
No changes. SMM’s start doing your floor planning now.
I am curious to know this too. Also for the SMM. I don’t understand why the SMM has to have generalist colleagues report to them and coach on credit, CX, and attendance. The CXMs don’t help with pricing or merchandising. I don’t see the logic.
