Kruse is authoring the failed CEO's cookbook

Historically, when CEOs are desperate enough to revoke WFH, they metaphorically flush themselves down the toilet. Ask former Yahoo CEO Marisa Mayer...who infamously pulled that card in desperation after she ran out of ideas to save Yahoo. Yahoo's employees subsequently nicknamed her "Evita"- a ref to Eva Peron, the former first lady of Argentina who had an outsize ego portrayed in the musical "Evita"

Following Mayer's mandate, Yahoo lost 1/3 of it's employees in less than 12mos. The remaining 2/3rds workforce couldn't get jobs because they were a mix or poor or mediocre performers.

Yahoo was sold for scraps and Marissa Mayer became a use case for poor leadership which Business School's teach as an case example of "how not to lead". IBM...another example, revoked WFH and now IBM is the logo of decline and erosion as they cannibalize Red Hat's umbilical cord. When your kids get to college, Kruse will be on the business class syllabus.

What CSG have gotten is a puppet for Vista and Elliott.

More like a muppet. Is he Statler or Waldorf? Hard to tell.

"That’s why Krause left there."

Up or out.

I think it's a big BIG assumption to think he "left."

If Krause was real CEO material, he wouldn’t have suffered the ignominy of having Hock Tan (who is 70 years old) sign up for staying on as CEO of Broadcom for 5 years. That’s why Krause left there. He wasn’t a real option to run the company. He wasn’t CEO of Broadcom Software. What CSG have gotten is a puppet for Vista and Elliott. He’s trash.

No chance.

This is small potatoes. AA ball. Adjusted for inflation, post collapse, Yahoo! was still a company of more significant magnitude than CSG even dreams of being.

Nobody will remember any of this except for maybe Robert Smith's beneficiaries.

Michael Dell alone made more personal profit in the sale of VMWare to Broadcom than the entire transaction price of the Citrix buyout.

Krause was demoted into this job.

Exactly how is he very smart?

Marissa Mayer made a quarter of a billion dollars for that.

I remember the fiasco created by Marissa Mayer. The rationale for hiring her as CEO, with no prior experience in that role, was that she came from Google - therefore, she must be brilliant. Clearly, she is a smart and accomplished lady but was 'in over her head' as Yahoo's chief executive.

Likewise, while Krause may be functionally qualified for a finance director or VP role, he's out of his depth when it comes to leading a company of diverse professionals in a competitive job market for tech talent.

If he was somewhat credible in this CEO role, then maybe he wouldn't appear to be so inept as a senior leader. So far, TK has failed to impress us, on many occasions.
