I know it’s easier said then done, but my last store in kenosha wi that i was let go from last year JUST found out they’re closing, and they weren’t on the first list or the recently revised list
get out while you can for those of you who are left

@mif+1kYJlOKM Finally someone gets it! So many people here don't understand bankruptcy is not free! When a company declares bankruptcy they have a lender that steps in to pay all the fees associated with it. Nobody is crazy enough to do that for BBB, this is the only reason they have not yet. They certainly don't have the money to pay it themselves. The closing of all these stores is a hail mary to see if this will entice anyone to fund it for them. If not they will go right to CH7.
Naaahhh. Unemployment that I paid into for decades will be waiting, and then I can ease into something else when I decide to.
Good luck to those thinking they are getting any severance!! Should have jumped ship months ago! I’m so happy I was offered severance and took it…and I’m out…in a new career…!!
Got the call today. No date, but the store is closing at the end of March.
Any Nebraska stores closing as of today?
Are any of these newly disclosed stores Buy Buy Baby stores or are they all Bed Bath?
@skk+1kYJlOKM - There a few reasons some may stay.
Around 200 additional stores are being put into liquidation. My old store in Grand Chute Wi was just notified earlier. Glad I got out last fall. GL to everyone and stay positive
I'm just staying for the unemployment.... after 20 years..I'm going to get a little something for nothing out of this.
Looks like I’ll have to make a video on it stay tuned!
150 more stores. Northeast mostly wiped out. No bankruptcy because nobody in their right mind will fund us through that. It is over
@lpw+1kYJlOKM even now there are people choosing to stay! I don't get it.
Yea it is all over. Got the call today. It is a lot of stores in addition to the one’s announced earlier this week. So many in my district it has to be 1-200 more company wide. Expect them to file bankruptcy at any time. The ones that the angel of death passed over today have 6 months at best. Knew it was coming as we all did. Do not trust anything you are told. Work for the check until you have something else but nothing more. They will tell you bold faced lies to keep you through shut down. Good luck to everyone.
It's almost impossible for me to feel badly for those who choose to stay. There have been so many red flags within the company for over a year now. It really kicked in for me when they drastically reduced hours last year. Then all the conversion cr-p sealed it. I started to submit applications then because that was just nuts. I mean, you don't have to quit right now. But you should at the very least take some control and try to put feelers out. Take interviews elsewhere to see what's what. Honestly, I do miss BBBY because when it was good, it was really good. It was fun and I had awesome coworkers. But waiting for the hammer to come down was stressful. Going in to work with limited stock and customers asking if we were closing was depressing. I had to leave for my peace of mind. I now make $5 more an hour, I'm full-time with benefits and I get paid weekly.
Take steps to better your situation.
Hundreds of new stores being notified today
Calls are being made as fast as they can to notify by end of day
Found out today Appleton store closing as well. Interesting that neither are on the updated 87 new store list that's public...
