Thread regarding Meta / Facebook layoffs

RSU management cryout

It went like this, middle managers and directors recently promoted (within the past 2 years), likely joined FB about 5 years ago...at the time when the stock price was around $150 - $160, and started to accumulate RSU's as the stock went up.

Now, with the stock at $140 they are not even at the level where they started!

Simple math...and no, as Meta's great majority, they did not cash out when the stock was at $300+...as projections were selling a meteoric rise to $ 400...

So here they are, RSU equity below where they started and flashing news that they may be irrelevant now...with less people working for them or with them.

In two days we will know more.

But ya know ... that's not how RSUs work. Unlike ISOs (or stock options) the value of an RSU is determined at the time of vesting, not at the time of granting.
