Things were amazing at the start of the pandemic and Hasbro did some major hiring. Now things are coming back down to earth and they realized we have too many employees. My only hope is that they're going to lay off people who were hired more recently and not use this opportunity to get rid of those of us who've been here for over a decade and as a result have better pay.

Hasbro has been doing this exact thing for decades. It's not a matter IF you will be laid off but WHEN. They offer an early retirement package quietly to the most senior year employees, once they know how many are taking that package they run down the list. The more time you have, the more likely you will be hit. I saw it for years until it was my turn. It's devastating at first, but once the dust and anger passes, it honestly will be a blessing. Take your talent and experience to a company that will appreciate you. My thoughts are with all that get laid off and those that remain. Neither is easy.
WRONG! They've been laying off hasbro lifers who have been there 10+ years. It's more that the leadership is making horrible decisions like pi----g off fans bad decision after bad decision...costing them dearly financially and instead of the higher ups taking a significant pay cut to help they'd rather lay off staff that was already running on a skeleton crew as is. Most of the teams are understaffed so how did they ever over hire?
