Thread regarding Salesforce.com Inc. layoffs

All speculation but…

Across the sales org, who should be most worried? BDR/SDR’s, Core AE’s, MC AE’s, Co-prime’s, SE’s. Thoughts?

Why would it be about cost in pure terms and not ROI? For example, SEs cost more but they're also far more essential than SD people. Also, having both inbound/outbound SD doesn't make sense for them

Sales dev is by and large the least costly for the company to keep. Not sure trimming a bunch of 22 year olds is going to get them where they need to be. Co-primes, low performing core reps and support teams need to watch their as--s.

There is a lot of dead weight in sales dev. A lot of aspiring sales reps who don’t possess actual sales competencies or attitude. Wouldn’t be surprised if it was trimmed substantially.

Definitely co-primes, but I would think being in MC on the sales side is a fairly safe place to be right now…
