Several people here mentioned February 1 as the date of the possible layoff and I've heard it as well from a few people at work. I still am not sure if this is just an unsubstantiated rumor that got out of hand or the truth, but I'm getting more and more nervous as the day approaches. I can't afford to get laid off right now. This week will not be easy to get through.

Lot of good folks in issuing were let go. Don't think the layoffs were performance based as we heard. It is sad to see this. Hope the top management have better ways to handle budgets and make some profit. This so called "modernization" non sense have wasted so much money and resources which has led no one nowhere so far.
not a rumor.. i was let go yesterday in GTS - Issuing. Our leadership structure sucks and the legacy TSYS leadership simply try to fly under the radar so that GP don't replace them with their own people. Ive worked at a lot of large companies. TSYS leadership was by and large the WORST to deal with. On to greener pastures.

It's true. Started this morning. BTS is getting hit from what I have heard. Guess this is going to be a yearly thing until they totally decimate legacy TSYS. Thanks for selling us and destroying the lives of the people that built this company from the ground up. Glad the Exec's walked away with their millions and the people who actually did the work have lived in complete chaos since they sold us to the greedy, money hungry, disaster of a company Global Payments. There is no doubt why Jeff Sloan made the Top 10 Worst CEO's in the country!!!
