Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Layoffs are no longer considered to be a bad thing by many

The way things are looking right now, being laid off will be the preferred option of the majority of employees. Nobody wants to stay on the Titanic as it continues to sink. The only reason we won't see a mass exodus right now is the overall tech layoffs. At any other time, people would be leaving in droves.

It's wishful thinking to imagine being laid off will not have an impact on future job prospects. Sure, it is true that in some very small % of cases the person being laid off was a result of an entire department or job function going away... but this is the exception... everyone knows that the company let's the weakest performers go during layoffs.

(Unless you are DEI in which case odds of layoff are low. Ask yourself why would Intel let DEI's go when they have quotas in place to get DEI ratios up...).
