Sometime back , my manager literally kicked one guy out citing performance. My manager is delighted that non performing people left. After that, slowly top performed are leaving. What a joke, my manager is thinking that this is not end of world.

You should have seen what happened during Covid. They thought top performers wouldn’t leave due to their dictatorship (get the v or admin leave) but many did. We left and couldn’t be happier that we did.
The company has been driven by Metrics ever since RR and maybe a little during KJ. I saw this in TAC, it didn’t matter how amazing you were with customers, it only mattered how fast you closed a case, if you had every single stupid cert which I absolutely refused to get, and how many cases you closed. There are engineering metrics in there too but that was the reality. It was cut throat and because I refused to get all of the certifications my manager and I had a massive blow out in the middle of the cubicle area. People cheat on those exams and I wasn’t about to cheat to improve neither my or his numbers. I wanted to earn my certifications fairly and not have to pay out of pocket for retakes. I was an excellent engineer but test taking wasn’t my strong suit and one test took me 5 tries. Needless to say he’s no longer with the company and the group dissolved. I left 6 years later. The only group that seems to do it right is the switching team in Westford.
When you see red flags like the above, it’s time to get out of that group or company. They are micromanaging you to death to either get rid of you, the department or manager, or prove to execs to keep work from going to India. It’s ridiculous. Basically: the company doesn’t have time or money to invest into you
Either your manager is a d-mb a-s or top performing people think that the guy who was kicked out is a decent guy.
