Thread regarding Citrix Systems Inc. layoffs

Citrix thoughts on Tibco

I’m a new-ish Tibco person. I left a decent job for much higher pay at Tibco and accepted the big risk.

Tibco people are pi---d at what is happening. Those of us hired for permanent remote work are pi---d at how RTO is being forced on Citrix. I haven’t heard anyone say negative things about Citrix other than how hard the data integration is.

I’ve seen occasional vitriol over here toward Tibco. I wondered how you all really feel? Are there any wrongs that we worker bees can help right?

As an ex-TIBCO person, when we heard about the deal, we figured "OK, we've absorbed/merged with other companies before, this will be fine." Nobody foresaw General Sherman-Krause's march to the sea where he burns everything in his path. I feel bad for my ex-colleagues who once worked for a nice CEO at a nice company, and I feel bad for Citrix people who have been ripped apart by this ja----s.

When you hear Citrix people speak ill of Tibco, they usually either mean the Tibco executive leadership or are inaccurately referring to Vista/Elliot. I don't think many Citrix people have any beefs with rank-and-file Tibco people.

Given what we know so far, have a Plan B exit ready to go. Everything within CSG is volatile, and so I'd make the best of the higher pay while you can. It likely won't last.

The problem isn't Tibco. They are as much a victim as Citrix is. The problem is Vista and TK.

I think Tibco people are great and were forced into this integration without any say also.
