A Google Gen-Zero says survivors of the mass layoffs cried in meetings the day around 12,000 of their colleagues were layed-off

I have been laid off thrice, and I moved on. I dunno what the hue and cry is about

The older you are the more likely you will get laid-off. Just keep moving forward....

This is not about a lack of empathy. I am just cringing reading Google posts on social media. Perhaps this is why the company is in such bad shape - complete lack of self awareness. It's almost cult-ish how G employees believe that they are so much better than anyone else -- how dare the company lay them off. Then there are the posts about how the layoffs were totally random, designed to spare your ego, that yes, the company found you disposable. iAnd then there are the posts about they will never find such an amazing job or co-workers ever again. G people seem to have no identity other than working at Google.

You look at the past and current layoffs at HP and IBM. Way different reactions from the employees that got the ax....
