My anxiety is huge. Are there any subtle signs by which one can assume getting laid off?

Are you suddenly being asked to document your work when you have been working there for 10 years?
Are you being asked to train a new employee?
Are you being left out of important meetings?
Were you recently placed on a performance improvement plan?
Agreed, when boss struggles to make eye contact which I sadly experienced this week. :( Also a mass ‘notification training’ meetings were sent out to leaders.. Not all leaders were on the invite, just the leaders who will have to deliver the bad news. That was telling. I’ve been sick to my stomach, anxiety and deeply depressed for a month.
Go find another job
Layoffs are stressful and anybody can convince themselves they're a goner if they take on a conspiratorial mindset trying to read into everything their boss says and does.
So far the only credible rumor I've heard from someone in a position that could possibly know is that it's a decision being made at the VP level with some off the record input from the directors. Your boss is most likely as out of the loop as you are. Even red flags like them suddenly pressing you to document all of your outstanding tasks, scope of work, etc could just be them trying to mitigate the damage from the possibility they lose someone, not because they know for sure you're being cut.
The executives are purposely cultivating this culture of fear around the layoffs to increase attrition and reduce the extra layoff costs from severances, unemployment, etc. What you're feeling is what they intended, but just keep in mind that this strategy only works if they keep the layoff plans at a high level so the middle managers desperate to restore morale and productivity don't mmediately leak whether their team is at risk. You won't be able to read the subtle signs from your boss because your boss simply does not know.
Stop it, get some help.
I am not aware of any 'subtle' signs. But to reduce your anxiety, keep your head down and go back to work.
When ur boss walk in front of you, he bow his head down. Feeling embarrassed to see your face.
