The only good thing about a union would be the schadenfreude of seeing CSG carry that albatross as you leave for someplace better.

Otherwise it's just paying dues, and having no choice but to support all the stupid garbage that whiny employees ask for. "Are you going to buy us gym shoes? Can we have a program to encourage ? Why don't you build a daycare in the parking lot?" etc. Combined with the inability to negotiate your own terms.

"Stand up for yourself!" - By all means, be courageous without giving up your rights to represent yourself. Realize that ironically you are becoming more of a "victim" if you outsource your future to a 3rd party (e.g. union negotiator). Do research about unions.

If you are truly being bullied by anyone at CSG, then you likely have a situation that can be more effectively resolved legally, rather than through union membership.
