by now she should know who is on her list ... but she doesn't know if she is on her boss list.
same as MB he knows who is on his list , but he doesn't know if he is on the new board directors list !
A LinkedIn connection - svp off an entire function in one of the acquisitions- posted he was post of the cull. He said he knew his job was going away because of a big reorg/integration but thought he had a year.

- he’s been orchestrating the redundancy of his org, so knew some/many were on the out. He knew who was on the list for people below him.
- he clearly didn’t know who was on his boss’s list, or their boss’s.
So the MD may be right. She may not know if she’s on a list the people above her have. Just knows who is on her list to cull below her.
She would know who's on the list. You can't trust upper management in this place.
