Actual layoffs per location are insignificant
Hardly 200-300 people laid off in Bay Area as part of both recent Amazon and google layoffs.
In fact unemployment went down even further this month.
This fear spreading is just to humor yourself while you watch others panic.

Worldwide, that is true. But that's not anywhere near how it is in the US.

San Francisco County: 6,248
San Mateo County: 4,052
Santa Clara Country: 5,062.
