So far I have seen four Tanzu Sales reps and one solution engineer laid off. Anyone see anymore?

Some of the people that work there are so insufferable. You can tell which one was a pivotal hire and which one wasn't... Let's just say that.

I know of 8 Tanzu Specialists impacted and 3 Sales Engineers. At Least 3 that I know were well over their half number and I to accelerators, so not sure how they decided who was let go? I know of 1 that had just gotten an offer late last week, and was planning on telling their RD this week they were leaving! Great timing!! Get a 4 plus month severance and already have another offer in hand!

Probably has to do with keeping the US government happy. That is the intended audience of the blog post from what I can tell. Maybe they end up selling jthe product to 5 big customers that want it because they simply buy whatever VMware sells.
In any case, I would welcome actual accountability in that group. Maybe Hock will bring it. Accountability will come with a large serving of layoffs because objectives will failed to me met, both on the revenue side and technical side. That is the way, the Tanzu way. No more failing upwards.

Tanzu is a failing product line, they have no net-new sales growth and next FY will be a bloodbath, TAP and TKO are just products that aren't selling at all, probably best to get out now before Broadcom takes over and slashes more headcount
Best to layoff these folks before paying their commission when the quarter ends at the end of the month, even though leadership did say recently they'll have a great quarter
